Why Clean your filter?
​
A diesel particulate filter, or DPF, DPD Catalyst is a part of most late model diesel engine's. Its job is to trap all the particulate matter and prevent it from entering the atmosphere.
​
We also clean Selective Catalyst Reduction filters, also known as SCR. This catalyst was designed to counter the higher levels of NOx emissions on vehicles fitted with DPF filters due to the relationship between DPF and the exhaust gas recirculation valve know as the EGR valve.
​
A signal that your DPF is blocked may be a
dashboard light turning on or loss of power.
